God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. The man convicted of his sins by the Holy Law of God confesses he is unworthy. Not so the hardened sinner. He prides himself on his righteousness. He believes he needs no grace, points to his works, and then points an accusing finger at others. Who is it that you have judged? Who is it that has sinned in a way you count as unforgiveable? Christ Jesus received tax collectors and sinners and ate with them. He left the host of heaven and became Man to redeem the lost sheep. He shines the light of His saving Gospel upon you, that you may be His. He lays you across the shoulders that bore the cross for you, and carries you home. And there is joy in heaven over you.

I apologize if you’ve been looking for updated content. I got a few weeks behind and then I had computer troubles on two different systems. Now I’ve got 7 or 8 weeks of catch-up work to do.. starting now.
Today we covered Genesis 3:21 to 4:7. We started at #108 on page 15 and ended at #123 on page 17. I include our continuation of the Fourth Commandment from last week’s study.
